Stay tuned to this page for information about the conference as we get closer to event!
Schedule: The conference will get under way Thursday May 2 at 1 PM, followed by a full day of sessions on Friday May 3rd, with our Keynote Address and reception in the evening. The EIR Business Meeting will take place Saturday morning, followed by sessions throughout the morning, and the conference will wrap up at around 1 PM. All sessions are taking place in the Jackman Humanities Building, located at the corner of St. George and Bloor. View the full Conference Program here.
Keynote: We are thrilled to announce that this year's Keynote Address will be delivered by Dr. Hillary Kaell, William Dawson Research Chair at McGill University. Professor Kaell’s lecture, “A Multibeing Manifesto: Using Tools from Religious Studies to Rethink Ecological Change,” is on Friday, May 3 at 5:30 pm, and will be followed by a reception. Please note that this event will be taking place at the Paul Cadario Conference Centre at University College. The Paul Cadario Centre has a limited capacity of 75 people. To accommodate this, the lecture will be livestreamed into an adjacent classroom. Anyone in this room is welcome to participate in the Q & A period, and everyone is also welcome to attend the reception afterwards.
Registration: Beginning at 12:00 PM on Thursday, a registration desk will open in JHB 319. Just take the elevators up to the 3rd floor, and this room is right across from the elevator bank. You can stop by here to pick up your name badge, as well as a physical copy of the program. QR codes of the program will also be posted throughout the building if you would prefer to have a digital copy. If you haven't registered yet, it's not too late!
